Design et al, 2024
In 2024, Georgia Zikas Design was proudly shortlisted in the Residential Project Value £2.5M-£5M category of The International Design & Architecture Awards for their project titled “Old Masters, Remixed.”
The project involved the complete transformation of an 1870s antique home in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, for clients with a deep collection of Old Master and modern artworks. The design team carefully juxtaposed period architecture with contemporary furnishings, bespoke wall coverings, artisan-made rugs and vibrant textiles to create a seamless blend of heritage and modernity.
One of the key design strategies was dividing the large living area into two distinct zones: mirrored sofas created intimate seating areas, while custom oak cocktail tables and walnut-finish Maguire lounge chairs introduced texture and warmth. The renovation preserved historic character while elevating the home’s function and aesthetic.
This recognition by The International Design & Architecture Awards further cements Georgia Zikas Design’s reputation for crafting interiors that are not only visually refined but deeply personal—rooted in client story, architectural integrity and timeless style.
